Whitnall Park remains a tribute as the site of a CCC encampment that included artisans and craftsmen of the Works Progress Administration (WPA). The hand-carved figures in the building interiors and the hand-split fieldstone on the exteriors are visible reminders of the legacy of the CCC and WPA in greater Milwaukee.
